Let’s all give it up for one of the cutest couples in Brooklyn: Courtney and John. A Domino Park Engagement Session that I will not forget…. we had such a good time.
Courtney shared all about how John and her met. She said: “John and I initially met when we were in our late teens, he was 16 and I was 18. I was working at Carvel and he would ride his bicycle to get ice cream. It wasn’t until a few years later in the summer of 2013 where we met again at a party (he was 20 and I was 22), from there we began talking and then started dating.”
She also filled me in on the proposal.
Snowboarding is one of their favorite thing to do together, and every winter they take a trip out West. This year they decided to go to Europe to snowboard in the Alps.
On a Thursday morning in Zermatt, Switzerland, they got ready to go to the mountain and when they got to the top, the infamous Matterhorn was in the background. He pulled out his camera to take pictures of the landscape and suggested they ask someone to take a picture of of them. Moments after fumbling in his pocket, he got on one knee and asked her to marry him with the Matterhorn as the backdrop.!!!
Of course, she said Y-E-S!
Their wedding date is set for next year. They will be getting married at the beautiful Roxbury Barn and Estate. Courtney and John are both very much into the outdoors so getting married outside in the Catskills is very special to them.
They’re not just excited about the location, though. They’re also excited to spend the rest of their lives together. It’s so clear that this couple is head-over-heels for each other!
You’ll see what I mean when you see the photos.
A Domino Park Engagement Session was the right thing to do for this couple. Here is some advice for other couples before their engagement session “Don’t be nervous, it is fun and a special moment to go through together. Just be yourselves, enjoy the moment and make sure you wear something you feel confident and comfortable in.”
And this is what they said about working together: “We had an amazing experience with Roberto for our Domino Park Engagement shoot. Roberto truly has a remarkable eye; he is able to capture incredible angles and was great with positioning us. We tried tons of areas throughout Domino Park and the background with the bridges and city skyline was absolutely gorgeous. We look forward to working with him in the future!”
Do you need a reason to have an engagement session? Well… here are 6 that I can think of.
