A Topping Rose House wedding is a magical affair. It is the ideal space for large events such as weddings. Plus, it is steeped in history and offers stunning indoor and outdoor backdrops for the romantic day.

The History of the Topping Rose House

Topping Rose House was erected in the mid 80s by a prominent Bridgehampton citizen. Plus, it is located at the crossroads that has a unique place in American history. However, it all started with a gristmill. This is what happened:

In 1644, one of its wealthy Southhampton founders, Edward Howell was given a contract to fulfill the town’s grain grinding needs. The mill stood at the uninhabited eastern side of the town and was critical for the town’s survival.

As per laws, local strong men dug trenches and rendered other services for the mill. The gristmill stood at that spot till 1656 after which one of the founders, Josiah Standborough built a home nearby in Sagaponack. However, it wasn’t long before others followed by establishing farms there. All in all, till 1700, the area surrounding the mill housed a community complete with laws and governance. The namesake of the venue is homage to the original owner of Topping mansion which was based there.

The Facilities

A Topping Rose House wedding stands out because of the following on-site facilities:

The Barn

Located adjacent to the house, the barn is basically a restored version of an original structure. Plus, it is large enough to fit 60 guests for a lunch. However, it can also seat 100 guests for a cocktail reception with appetizers. The rustic décor is to die for and provides ample photographic and entertainment opportunities.

The Restaurant at the Topping Rose House

That’s not all. No need to hire other caterers. Just hire the Topping House restaurant for your big event. That way, your guests will enjoy themselves in their own private restaurant while mingling with family and friends. Plus, they can have the time of their life in the Bar Room before heading to the dining area for the main meal.

The Studio

The Studio is Topping Rose House’s largest space. However, it can only fit over 60 people for a board meeting and 150 for a cocktail reception. The space overlooks a sparkling pool and boasts cutting edge technology. Plus, majestic floor to ceiling windows allow ample natural light in to add warmth your nuptials. However, blackout shades are drawn for projected presentations.

Of course, not everyone likes big weddings. Besides the aforementioned facilities, the couple can also rent the Cottage Roofdeck for an intimate ceremony. Book your slot for a Topping Rose House wedding today! The space is booked fast and you don’t want to miss out.
