The Boathouse Shelter Island is a private event space located at the Island Boatyard & Marina on Shelter Island. The recently renovated 4,000 square foot space features over 200 feet of waterfront overlooking West Neck Harbor offering incredible sunset views. The Boathouse features a chic yet rustic style. The open ceiling creates an elegant atmosphere with the structure’s original wood beams, exposed stainless steel ducts and simple chandeliers. The dark wood floors lead to the full accordion doors that open to the 1,600 square foot deck revealing the incredible water view. The deck extends the entertaining space with a classic blue and white striped awning, which also features flaps for colder evenings.
James Brantuk President
James Brantuk has had a passion for water and the boating industry since he was a child . He received his captain’s license at an early age and has been recognized as an expert boater since his youth. James’ career began in finance and business. He earned a Bachelor of Science in American Studies and Economics in 2002 from Hobart College. In 2008, James relocated to the East End of Long Island to run the family owned business, The Island Boatyard and Marina . He has been the Director of Operations for nine years and believes that providing the best service is what’s most important.
