Claire is a native to North Fork of Long Island. She began her career in the event planning industry over 13 years ago in Nashville and Los Angeles. Claire has worked for national organizations as an event coordinator planning live concert events, televised award shows, galas, intimate fundraising dinners, corporate events and everything in between. After moving back to the North Fork, Claire is fulfilling her lifelong dream of building her very own boutique event design and coordination company. When Claire isn’t working, you can find her filling the role of mother, wife and avid equestrian.
We asked Claire some questions:
Why do you love being a Wedding Planner?
Plain and simple: I LOVE all things weddings! Nothing makes me happier than planning each and every element down to the smallest of details. I consider it such an honor and priviledge to work closely with all my couples to turn their wedding vision into a reality. It is important to me to hear their story, learn who they are and then translate that into a truly tailored celebration that kicks off their married life.
Do you have 3 pieces of advice for couples starting to plan their wedding?
- Always start with your budget. Make sure you have a clear plan and understanding of how much you are able to spend. Couples will save a lot of frustration having this information before securing a venue or vendors.
- Keep your wedding personal. The ceremony and reception should be a reflection of the couple. I tell my clients they can use other sources such as Pinterest as an inspiration jumping off point, but always bring it back to their own unique love story.
- Remember what is at the heart of your wedding day: your marriage. Like all events, everything will not go 100% according to plan. Don’t stress. Surround yourself with people you trust and can rely on to help. At the end of the day, all that matters is that you are married to your best friend and starting an incredible journey together.
