about roberto

Constructed in 1905, the Prospect Park Boathouse was one of New York City’s first buildings to be declared a historical landmark. Home to Brooklyn’s most sophisticated events, the Prospect Park Boathouse provides a jaw-dropping natural setting and a magnificent backdrop for your wedding. This Beaux Arts style building features beautiful Tuscan columns, floor-to-ceiling windows, a hand-painted mural, Guastavino tile ceilings, and a covered balcony. It also has a large terrace that faces the beautiful Lullwater and Lullwater Bridge. If you opt for a Prospect Park Boathouse wedding, you can even get one-of-a-kind catering from Purslane, the team behind Brooklyn’s most loved restaurants Metta, June, and Rucola.

You can have a Prospect Park Boathouse wedding from spring to fall during the daytime or evening. The venue is enough for around 150 guests for a seated dinner and dancing. However, if you want to opt for a standing indoor event, you can invite up to 225 people.

How Much Will It Cost You to Have A Prospect Park Boathouse Wedding

If you want to have a wedding anytime between April and October, here are the charges:

  • Tuesday to Thursday: $4,500
  • Friday to Sunday: $6,000
  • Saturday: $7,000

However, if you choose to have a Prospect Park Boathouse wedding in November, the charges are as following:

  • Tuesday to Thursday: $3,500
  • Friday to Sunday: $4,500
  • Saturday: $5,500

Note that there’s a $500 surcharge for Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and other legal holidays.

His food radiates a passion for identifying new ingredients and flavors while displaying food cultures from across the globe.

Film and Photo Shoots at Prospect Park Boathouse

You can have your Prospect Park Boathouse wedding photoshoot in the landmark 1905 Beaux Arts structure terra cotta façade and balcony. This is within walking distance of the Lullwater Bridge, Nethermead, and the Carousel. However, parking and vehicle access can also be arranged.

The filming rate is as following:

  • $750 per hour (Minimum 4 hours)
  • $7,500 for a 12-hour day.

Permits are also required, and extra charges may also apply.
