Constructed in 1905, the Prospect Park Boathouse was one of New York City’s first buildings to be declared a historical landmark. Home to Brooklyn’s most sophisticated events, the Prospect Park Boathouse provides a jaw-dropping natural setting and a magnificent backdrop for your wedding. This Beaux Arts style building features beautiful Tuscan columns, floor-to-ceiling windows, a hand-painted mural, Guastavino tile ceilings, and a covered balcony. It also has a large terrace that faces the beautiful Lullwater and Lullwater Bridge. If you opt for a Prospect Park Boathouse wedding, you can even get one-of-a-kind catering from Purslane, the team behind Brooklyn’s most loved restaurants Metta, June, and Rucola.
You can have a Prospect Park Boathouse wedding from spring to fall during the daytime or evening. The venue is enough for around 150 guests for a seated dinner and dancing. However, if you want to opt for a standing indoor event, you can invite up to 225 people.
