Like many planners, Margaret fell in love with weddings after becoming a bride. With over ten years of experience in corporate event planning across the east coast, Margaret finally opened her own business in 2017 with a special focus on weddings. Based in NYC and Northern NJ, Margaret and her team have successfully planned weddings throughout the greater New York area as well as destination events in Florida and the Midwest. Her work has been featured in various wedding blogs including Brides and Wedding Chicks and she was recently awarded Best of the Knot Weddings.
Why do you love being a Wedding Planner?
I love many things about being a wedding planner, but the best part is getting to know my couples on a very intimate level leading up to their big day! It is such a privilege to be part of such a special time in their lives and nearly all of my clients have become closer friends to this day.
Do you have 3 pieces of advice for couples starting to plan their wedding?
1. Hire a planner! Even if you are very organized and think you can do it on your own – don’t!
2. When researching planners, don’t hire one that you wouldn’t be friends with otherwise. If you don’t get a good feeling right away, it’s probably not a good fit!
3. On the big day, let all of your stress and anxiety go. Don’t think about the flowers or the table settings, just let all that go and be in the moment. You don’t want to look back and wish you weren’t so caught up on the little things!

My most popular service is full planning! For clients who come to me after booking a venue, the venue sourcing is definitely the most popular service.
