With the philosophy that a chandelier can truly be hung anywhere — from an elaborate ballroom to an empty airplane hanger — founder Amy Shey Jacobs works hand-in-hand with clients to conceptualize and customize a living experience. Each Chandelier Event tells a story through a variety of touchpoints designed to engage the senses from the venue and culinary story to curated entertainment and perfomances to out-of-the-box, creative design.
Known for her whimsical creativity, vast experience in weddings and social events, branding, TV and public relations, and relationships with top industry event professionals, Amy Shey Jacobs leads her team on the planning of every Chandelier Event. With an artistic eye, attention to detail and with her finger on the pulse of the most stylish and groundbreaking trends, Amy arrives at event planning with an equally grounded understanding of logistical production, timing, budgeting and guest psychology. She works closely with her clients and a carefully curated team of trusted professionals to create a unique one-of-a-kind event that guests won’t soon forget.
Amy contributes to InStyle.com’s popular “What’s Right Now” in Weddings section. As the Director of Public Relations for the leading wedding multimedia company The Knot (now known as XO Group, Inc.) she has also contributed to the planning of hundreds of live televised wedding events on OPRAH, ABC’s “The View”, “Live! With Kelly”, “NBCs TODAY,” E!, MTV, VH1, CBS and more. In 2013, she teamed up with The Knot to plan every detail of its first annual live-streamed dream wedding in New York City’s Citi Pond at Bryant Park and has planned the prestigious Empire State Building weddings atop the landmark building on Valentine’s Day as well as the US Weekly dream wedding with Weddingchannel.com at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, DC for an active-duty military couple. She pens the Chandelier Event “Spotlight Blog”, and through Halo Public Relations, a sister company to Chandelier Events, Amy and her team work closely with a select group of clients on a variety of public relations campaigns and activities in the women’s interest, fashion and beauty, lifestyle, fitness and wellness sectors. Chandelier Events is rated an editors’ pick in The Knot’s Best of Weddings and is listed in Style Me Pretty’s prestigious Little Black Book, CeciStyle Magazine’s A-List, and has received press coverage in PEOPLE, Martha Stewart Weddings, Us Weekly, Weddingchannel.com, and more.

Focused on bringing your story to life through every element from design to entertainment to food and every detail in between! Formerly PR and Events Director for The Knot, Amy has produced weddings on TODAY, The View, OPRAH and has been featured on Bravo’s Real Housewives of NY.
