This summer has been quite a busy one for me and even though I’ve been so happy with it, it has made me less vocal in the blog… but I am back.
Debbie and Sonny got married on Sunday at the Douglaston Manor in Queens. Before getting there we spent a few hours playing in the city. I’ve said this before, and want to say it again..I just love how my clients are planning the day with enough time for me to create fun photos before the ceremony. It really pays off to have that extra time!
Debbie got ready in a hotel about a block from The Empire State building with a crystal clear view of it… it was gorgeous. Sonny got ready at his parent’s house and then traveled with his whole wedding party on the subway. He had a blast. After they saw other for the first time, we all jumped on a party bus and drove around the city. We even photographed in the building where Debbie and Sonny met each other.
After a couple of hours of photographing we arrived at the Manor were Xochitl and Mayra from Always a Bridesmaid were taking care of all the day coordination. I hadn’t work with them for a couple of years and it was such a pleasure to see and work with them again.
After the ceremony Debbie and Sonny let me take a few more photos. We walked to the golf course where we did the “rock star jump” shot that they loved doing during their engagement session.
It was a fun day.
The Rock star jump! … that’s what Debbie and Sonny called this shot. đŸ˜‰ pretty sweet
